Jaison Garcia and Sophia Muzzey are the October students of the month! Congrats on a job well done!

Using the SMARTBOARD

Our class has used technology everyday including the SMARTBOARD with all subjects.

Recent class photos of students at work!

The class has worked hard in forming their letters neatly and connecting letters to sounds. They have grown since the beginning of the year with writing their names and learning sight words.

Fall Art Fun!

Kinders created water color crayon resist Jack-o-lanterns, tissue paper Fall leaves and Fall Leaf rubbings, which decorated the School hallway.

Tuesday

Welcome to Kindergarten and a new school year!

My name is Ms. Willson and I am looking forward to getting to know the class and all of the parents. It is such a blessing to work with the families and be your child's first teacher at St. Anne school. This is a special year with a lot of growth, and students will not only learn reading and writing skills, but learn to enjoy school, gain social skills, and a sense of self confidence as a student.

On Tuesday the 7th, a first day letter will go home in the "go-home folder" which explains the class policies. Class discipline and positive reinforcement includes table points, a warm fuzzy jar for the whole class, and card chart. During the first week of school, the class will focus on getting to know the classroom and school rules, do fun activities with "The Kissing hand", learn the routines, and ease into the curriculum. Chester the stuffed raccoon will go home for the first time on Tuesday the 14th after the rules agreement is signed.

Back to school night will be next week, where I can inform of the school year, class policies, highlights of the year, and what is expected of the student.

Blessings,
Ms. Willson

Watercolor Flowers

Here, the class drew flowers, and painted them with watercolors. These are some of the artworks that will be in the Art Show next Thursday the 29th.

Last Wednesday, the class helped host the school Mass. We did readings, decorated a poster with the response, and presented the gifts. The students did a wonderful job.

Easter Celebration

After learning about Lent and Easter, we had an Easter egg hunt in the yard. We learned why eggs and symbols of Easter mean "New Life".

Recent Phonics and Learning Fun

Thanks for checking in on the class and the website! Here are some recent pictures of the class doing some daily phonics practice. We use the individual whiteboards to practice writing words and sentences of the letter and sight words of focus. We also love using our Smartboard with all subjects.
