As we know, Chester is the raccoon from the famous back-to-school story, The Kissing Hand. we read this story the first day of school, which was a heartwarming story about how a mother showed Chester a "trick" to ease first day jitters. Students who have been kind, helpful , and caught being good, get to take Chester home for the day and share him with the family.

October has been a busy and fun month for the kinders. They have had a wonderful time learning about science, and what living things need to live. The class is growing sunflowers and will later raise butterflies in the "canopy".
The class also estimated how many seeds would be in this pumpkin. The winning estimate was 101 seeds. The actual number is 277! We then used the seeds to compare groups.
